Buying an English & Welsh Wine Subscription

Q - What is The British Wine Cellar's English & Welsh Wine Subscription and why should I sign up? 

A - It's our regular delivery of English & Welsh wines, and a way of saving at least 10% vs buying bottles individually. It's also a great way to discover new wines as we include some limited edition and exclusive wines in our subscriber's cases that aren't available for sale on our website! You should sign up to get you or someone else a great deal on some delicious English & Welsh wines, access some exclusive wines that you can't access through our main website, and to always make sure you have some great English wine on its way to you! 

 

Q - How does it work?

A - Purchase one of our subscription products. These can be found under our "Subscription" tab on our homepage. Find which subscription is right for you based on your wine preferences, and click on that product page - you'll then be able to choose your delivery frequency. You can choose to have your case of 6 English & Welsh wines delivered monthly, every 3 months or every 6 months, but you will never be tied into a contract and can change this at any time. 

 

Q - How do I choose the English wine subscription that's right for me? 

A - We currently have 5 different options, and we plan to add more! They are:

Red, White & Bubbly - a mix of red, white and sparkling wines, perfect for if you want a real showcase of what England & Wales has to offer! 

Red, White & Rosé - a mix of red, white and rosé wines, perfect for those looking for a mix of still English and Welsh wines

Red Wines Only - a mix of red wines of all types, from light bodied to full bodied, perfect for fans of red wine looking to discover English & Welsh reds!

White Wines Only - a mix of white wines, perfect for white wine fans looking to discover English & Welsh white wines! 

Fresh & Fruity Whites - a mix of white wines that are all similar to Sauvignon Blanc in flavour profile, perfect for Sauvignon fans! 

 

Q - What's included in my English & Welsh wine subscription? 

A - A selection of six delicious bottles of English & Welsh wine! This may include some bestselling customer favourites, or some brand new, exclusive wines that aren't available for sale on our website. Each order will including information about the vineyard that has produced each wine, along with tasting notes about each wine. 

 

Buying an English & Welsh Wine Subscription as a Gift

Q - How does it work if I'm buying as a gift? 

A - Purchase a subscription as normal (see above). Don't forget to tick the box saying it's a gift and add a free gift message! We'll write your chosen message on a gift tag and tie it around the neck of one of the bottles of English wine - it adds a real personal touch! We'll then charge you for each delivery prior to dispatch - if you'd like to cancel after a particular duration, you can do this by managing your account (see instructions below). Alternatively, if you'd like us to cancel your English wine subscription after a particular length of time, please email us and we'll do our best to help. 

 

Q - Can I pre-pay for a number of cases rather than pay each time you dispatch? 

A - We currently don't offer a pre-payment option on our website, but if you contact us at hello@thebritishwinecellar.co.uk we will find a way to help you if you would prefer to pre-pay for a number of English wine subscription cases, rather than pay as you go. 

 

Managing Your English & Welsh Wine Subscription

Q - Will you email me before dispatching my next English wine subscription order, to give me the chance to make changes? 

A - Yes, we will email you a couple of days before taking payment and dispatching your English wine subscription, and you will have the chance to make changes to your order if you would like to. 

 

Q - I want to change the frequency of my English wine subscription. How do I do this? 

A - Log into your account and click "Manage Subscription". Here you can change your wine delivery frequency, view upcoming deliveries, update your payment information or change your address for example. If you have any issues, please contact hello@thebritishwinecellar.co.uk and we will be able to help!

 

Q - I want to cancel my English wine subscription. How do I do this? 

A - We're very sorry to see you go, and if you've had any problems, we'd love the chance to put these right for you, so we'd encourage you to email us to see how we can help. However, we want managing your English wine subscription to be as easy as possible, so you don't need to talk to us if you want to cancel. Log into your account and click "Manage Subscription". Towards the bottom of the page you will see a button that says "Cancel Subscription". Please click this and follow the instructions on screen. Please note that we are unable to cancel a subscription order if it has already been dispatched. 

 

Payment Queries

Q - How much is each delivery? 

A - The price of each case is shown on the product page, and this is the price for each case of 6 bottles, excluding delivery, which is £5.99 per delivery. 

 

Q - When do you take the payment for each order? 

A - The payment for your first case of English wines is taken the day you place your order, and your first case will arrive shortly after. Your subsequent English wine deliveries will depend on the frequency you have selected. If you have selected a monthly delivery, your next case of English wine will arrive one month after you first placed your order. If you have selected three or six monthly, your next case of English wine will arrive three or six months after you first placed your order. Payment will be taken 1-2 working days before the dispatch of your next case using your chosen payment method. 

 

Q - Can I pre-pay for a number of cases rather than pay each time you dispatch? 

A - We currently don't offer a pre-payment option on our website, but if you contact us at hello@thebritishwinecellar.co.uk we will find a way to help you if you would prefer to pre-pay for a number of English wine subscription cases, rather than pay as you go. 

 

Q - How can I change my payment information? 

A - You can update your payment information by logging into your account and clicking "Manage Subscription". 

 

Q - What payment methods do you accept? 

A - We accept all major UK credit and debit cards, including American Express.
